School aid plan clears Senate

A $3.6 billion spending plan for public schools breezed through the state Senate on Tuesday 38-1.

The measure, Senate Concurrent Resolution 55, next faces action in the House.

The proposal was submitted to the Legislature by the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
