Q&A: John White, Louisiana superintendent of education

Louisiana’s public schools have undergone major transformations, mandated by law, in the past year and a half.

Recently schools received their first school performance scores, and teachers received their first COMPASS evaluations following the changes. They now face the implementation of the Common Core State Standards and the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness of College and Careers assessment, known as PARACC.

All have left educators and school districts with many questions.
