Louisiana graduation rates lag, even among the non-poor

NEW ORLEANS — Louisiana’s high school graduation rate has improved markedly over the years, but at around 72 percent it remains among the nation’s lowest.

And a report released Monday shows Louisiana is one of seven states where a low graduation rate is a problem even among households that aren’t poor.
