Lawmakers say shift to Common Core moving too fast

BATON ROUGE — Lawmakers who say they support toughening Louisiana’s educational standards are criticizing state education leaders for the way the standards have been rolled out in school districts.The comments came in a House briefing held Monday to discuss concerns that have been raised about the standards, called Common Core.
