Lafayette teacher considering bid for Holly Boffy’s BESE seat, report says

State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education member Holly Boffy, a major Common Core supporter, could have a challenger in next year’s election. Jeremy Alford of LaPolitics reports Melinda Mangham is considering a run.

“So far it’s the most substantive BESE face-off threatened for next year’s fall ballot,” Mangham writes. Education blogger Jason France has announced a challenge to BESE President Chas Roemer.
